Our demo is coming in October, here's some info

I quit my job 8 months ago to make a game that nobody asked for.

After years of watching the industry chase trends, pump out sequels, and lay off absurd amounts of people, I decided to do something completely different. I walked away from my stable job to build Stories of Somnia, a love-letter to games like Ocarina of Time, Paper Mario TTYD, and Pokemon Emerald.

You know what's funny? I got a lot of interesting looks. Some people concerned for how I'd turn out, like I was going to war. "Why not start small?" "Couldn't you just do this on the side?" "How will you monetize post-launch?"

One thing you gotta understand is, I'm really stubborn. It's not easy for me to take practical advice, especially if I really, REALLY want something. But hey some of the most memorable games in history came from developers who ignored what the market was "asking for" and made what they were passionate about instead. Stardew Valley, Axiom Verge, Papers Please, Cult of the Lamb. Games that moved people not because they had the biggest budgets, but because they had the biggest hearts.

Stories of Somnia is my love letter to the kind of games that made me fall in love with this medium. Deep, emotional storytelling designed in harmony with mechanics. Silly characters that make you laugh, then break your heart. Secrets that reward curiosity over completion percentage.

I'm not trying to be the next big thing. I'm just trying to share what's up in my brain all the time so people can enjoy it too.

Our page is officially live today, and I would sincerely appreciate those of you that find the game interesting and would wishlist it. Not because I need to hit some arbitrary number for a publisher, but because I genuinely believe this story deserves to be told, and I hope you'll want to experience it.

Thank you for reading :)
